We are building a bench of people we can call on as work scales, and this role is open to candidates based in or around Dallas–Fort Worth, United States, working remotely. Time zone: US Central — one hour behind our offices.
About the role
Search is where most of our client work starts: every engagement opens with a free digital audit, and the search half of that report is the part owners react to hardest. This posting is us looking for an SEO specialist in Dallas–Fort Worth we could bring onto audit and local-search work remotely. NeedAWebNow has no office in Dallas and no operations in Texas — our two offices are in Orlando and Miami. We are scouting, not expanding.
What you’d do
- Run the search portion of our free digital audits — crawl the site, find what is actually blocking it, and write findings an owner can act on, inside the two-business-day promise the audit makes.
- Do the on-page and technical work those audits call for: titles and meta, heading structure, internal linking, schema, redirects, indexation problems, Core Web Vitals.
- Own local SEO for clients who live on it — Google Business Profiles, map-pack visibility, citation consistency across locations.
- Do keyword and competitor research that ends in a page plan, and maintain rank tracking so reporting shows real movement rather than vanity terms.
What we’d look for
- Two or more years doing SEO you can point at. Send URLs, say what you changed, say what happened.
- Google Search Console and GA4 fluency, and enough comfort with a crawler to find a problem nobody reported.
- Enough HTML to implement your own on-page fixes in WordPress without waiting on a developer.
- Honesty about what SEO cannot do, which is most of why we would hire a specialist rather than a generalist.
Working remotely from Dallas–Fort Worth
Fully remote, hours largely your own as long as they overlap weekday business hours enough for audit review calls. You would be based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. DFW is US Central, one hour behind our offices. There is no on-site requirement and no office to come into.
