About the role
Search is where most of our client work starts and where a lot of it is judged. Every engagement opens with a free digital audit that scores a business’s website, its search visibility and its local presence, and the search half of that report is the part owners react to hardest — it is where the gap between what they are paying for and what they are getting is most visible. As SEO Specialist you own that work end to end: the audits, the fixes, the local profiles, and the monthly reporting that shows whether any of it moved.
What you’ll do
- Run the search portion of our free digital audits — crawl the site, find what is actually blocking it, and write the findings up in language a business owner can act on, inside the two-business-day promise the audit makes.
- Do the on-page and technical work the audits call for: titles and meta, heading structure, internal linking, schema markup, redirects, crawl and indexation problems, Core Web Vitals.
- Own local SEO for clients who live or die on it — Google Business Profiles, Bing Places, map-pack visibility, citation and directory consistency across locations.
- Do keyword and competitor research that ends in a page plan, not a spreadsheet nobody opens, and maintain rank tracking so a client’s reporting shows real movement rather than vanity terms.
- Handle Spanish-language SEO for our bilingual clients: hreflang, Spanish keyword research, and making sure the Spanish version of a page ranks on its own rather than being a translated afterthought.
What we’re looking for
- Two or more years doing SEO you can point at. Send URLs and tell us what you changed and what happened — not a list of tools you have logins for.
- Fluency in Google Search Console and GA4, and enough comfort with a crawler (Screaming Frog or similar) to find a problem nobody reported.
- Enough HTML to implement your own on-page fixes in WordPress without waiting on a developer for every change.
- Conversational Spanish strongly preferred — roughly half of our client work runs in Spanish.
- Honesty about what SEO cannot do. We would rather tell a client their market is too competitive for the budget than sell them twelve months of hope.
Schedule
Part-time, roughly 15–25 hours a week, with the hours largely yours to arrange as long as they overlap weekday business hours enough for client calls. Hybrid: mostly remote, with on-site time at our Orlando office at Pipeline Workspaces, 20 North Orange Avenue, for audit reviews and planning sessions.
About this posting
This is an open, evergreen posting. We keep it up whether or not there is a seat free this month, because the alternative — starting a search the week we need somebody — is how agencies end up hiring whoever is available instead of whoever is right. There is no deadline on it and no urgency to manufacture. If you are good at this, apply, and we will talk; if the fit is there and the work is not yet, we will tell you that honestly and keep your application on file.
Every application comes to us through this page. We do not post on Indeed or any other job board, and nobody at NeedAWebNow will ever ask you to pay for anything as part of applying.
