Remote — Bogotá. NeedAWebNow has no office in Bogotá and this posting does not mean we operate there. Our only two offices are in Orlando and Miami, Florida. We are building a bench of people we can call on as work scales, and this role is open to candidates based in or around Bogotá, Colombia, working remotely. Time zone: the same clock as US Eastern for most of the year, so the working days line up.
About the role
Our clients mostly have no in-house marketing or IT person, so we are it — and about half of those conversations happen in Spanish. Bogotá is on this list because it sits on the same clock as US Eastern for most of the year and has a large professional bilingual support workforce. To be explicit: NeedAWebNow has no office in Bogotá, no entity in Colombia, and no operations there. Our two offices are in Orlando and Miami, Florida. This posting is us keeping a shortlist of remote bilingual support people.
What you’d do
- Handle inbound client requests across email, chat, WhatsApp and the client portal, in Spanish and English, and keep each one moving until it is resolved.
- Make the small site changes yourself — text, images, prices, hours, staff bios — on live WordPress and WooCommerce sites, carefully.
- Triage what you cannot fix: reproduce it, write it up properly, and tell the client what is happening and when.
- Keep the account record current in Mission Control so a client’s history exists outside one person’s memory.
What we’d look for
- Customer-facing experience with non-technical people, and the patience it takes.
- Native Spanish and genuinely fluent English, written and spoken. Both are production languages for this role.
- Enough comfort in WordPress to make a routine content change unaided, and the judgement to stop before touching something unfamiliar on a live site.
- Writing a stressed business owner can follow: short, specific, no jargon, no blame.
Working remotely from Bogotá
Fully remote, as an independent contractor, paid in USD at the same rate as the equivalent US-based role, inside weekday business hours because that is when clients are working. You would be based in Bogotá. Bogotá runs on the same clock as US Eastern for most of the year, so your working day and our offices’ working day are effectively the same — which for support is the entire reason this market is listed. No office to come into and no claim that we operate in Colombia.
