Remote — Atlanta. NeedAWebNow has no office in Atlanta and this posting does not mean we operate there. Our only two offices are in Orlando and Miami, Florida. We are building a bench of people we can call on as work scales, and this role is open to candidates based in or around Atlanta, United States, working remotely. Time zone: US Eastern — the same working day as both of our offices.
About the role
We build in WordPress and WooCommerce, with the occasional Shopify storefront, plus Mission Control — our own Next.js dashboard that clients see their reporting in. This posting is us looking for a developer in the Atlanta area we can bring onto that work remotely as projects come in. To be clear about what this is: NeedAWebNow has no office in Atlanta and no operations in Georgia. Our two offices are in Orlando and Miami. We are building a bench of people we can call, and Atlanta is a city we would happily hire from.
What you’d do
- Build and maintain client sites in WordPress and WooCommerce — custom templates, theme work, plugin configuration — on a per-project basis.
- Fix defects on live client sites: broken layouts, forms that fail silently, slow pages, and the things that only appear on a real phone.
- Build landing pages with lead capture and booking, and verify them against the live URL rather than only locally.
- Contribute to Mission Control on client-facing reporting features when there is React or Next.js work to do.
What we’d look for
- Demonstrable PHP and WordPress theme development — custom templates and hooks, not page-builder drag-and-drop. Send links to sites you built.
- Solid HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and enough Git to work on a branch without putting a live site at risk.
- Reliable remote working habits: you will not be supervised, and the work is judged on whether the site works.
- Spanish is a plus but not required for this market — roughly half our client work runs in Spanish and we route accordingly.
Working remotely from Atlanta
Fully remote. You would be based in the Atlanta metropolitan area and work from wherever you work. Atlanta runs on US Eastern, the same clock as both our offices, so a call at ten in the morning means the same thing to both of us — which is the main practical reason this market is on the list. There is no on-site requirement and no office to come into.
