About the role
We sell photography as a real service line — executive headshots, product sets, real estate, restaurant and food, and event and corporate coverage — because a client’s website is only as good as the pictures in it, and stock photography is visible from a mile away. This is per-shoot contract work in Central Florida: we book the job, brief you, and you shoot it. As Commercial Photographer you are the person the client actually meets on the day.
What you’ll do
- Shoot on location across Central Florida — client premises, restaurants, listings, offices and events — on a scheduled, briefed, per-shoot basis.
- Deliver edited, colour-corrected images in the sizes a website and a social calendar actually need, including correctly cropped verticals, not just a folder of 6000px JPEGs.
- Handle the professional basics without hand-holding: your own lighting for interiors and headshots, release forms where people are identifiable, and a usage licence that lets the client and us publish the work.
- Work to a shot list agreed in advance and flag on the day when the list and the reality do not match — an empty restaurant at 2pm is a different shoot than the brief assumed.
- Turn work around inside the agreed window, which for a listing or an event is usually days, not weeks.
What we’re looking for
- A commercial portfolio in at least two of the categories above, and your own professional camera and lighting kit.
- Based in or regularly working across the Orlando and Central Florida area, with your own reliable transport to locations.
- Liability insurance, or willingness to carry it. Several venues and commercial properties require it before you walk in.
- Comfortable directing people who have never been photographed professionally and do not want to be. Most of our subjects are business owners, not models.
- Conversational Spanish is a plus — some shoots are with Spanish-speaking clients.
Schedule
Contract, per shoot. Rate is quoted per job and depends on category, duration, location and the delivery volume — the range shown is a typical half to full day. There is no retainer and no minimum volume in either direction: we offer you the jobs that fit, and you take the ones you want.
